CALL FOR GAME AUTHOR SUBMISSIONS

The REB is now accepting submissions from game designers hoping to advance their game to Level 3 or 4 until SEPTEMBER 30th!

For games to be eligible for Level 3, all elements must be complete (game book, instructor's guide and role sheets), it should have had some playtests by people who teach at different schools, all elements must be in 2.0 format, and there must be approximately 25 roles. To submit your game to advance to Level 3, please submit the game materials along with a very brief description of the game (a paragraph is fine--it will be sent to prospective reviewers to help prospective reviewers decide whether they can effectively review your game) and a list of people/schools that have play tested the game.

For games to be eligible for Level 4, they must have had significant additional playtests and revisions since being approved for L3. To submit your game to advance to Level 4, please submit the most recent game materials along with a letter describing any changes you have made to the game in response to the additional playtests and an updated playtest list.

All submitted materials (Instructor Guides, Gamebooks, Role Sheets) must be in the most recent 2.0 Format which can be found here.

Please check and update the BLORG entry for your game before submitting updated materials. The BLORG submission form can be found here.

Please submit your materials by September 30 to Kelly McFall at mcfallk@newmanu.edu. If the files are too big for e-mail, feel free to share via dropbox or google.

The REB aims to make a decision on submissions during its January meeting.

CALL FOR BOARD APPLICATIONS

The REB is responsible for reviewing manuscripts and giving clear feedback to authors. It also creates and oversees templates for game components, introductory boilerplate, and the BLORG (Big List of Reacting Games).

The REB seeks diversity in disciplines, institutions, and perspectives. There is no set term. The board has not yet set a deadline for applicants to submit materials but will announce a timeline in the near future. Be on the lookout for updates coming later in 2022.

Anyone hoping to apply for the board should be prepared to submit:

• A Two-page CV

• Statement of interest

• Description of experience with Reacting and other game-based learning
