REACTING PAIRS WELL WITH LEARNING!We're thrilled to announce our 2026 Month of Giving will kick off November 1st and culminate on Giving Tuesday (12/1)! Whether you're an instructor using Reacting games, a student who loved your Reacting class, or just someone who thinks learning should be fun, consider making a contribution during our 2026 campaign to help keep our innovative pedagogy growing strong. Donations make up less than 5% of the annual budget of the Consortium, but play an outsized role in supporting some of our most exciting initiatives. This year, in addition to our events, and donor rewards, we are offering two unique initiatives to supercharge your giving. CHOOSE YOUR PAIRING!Last year, your generosity allowed us to 18 free memberships for high school instructors, and helped us lower the price of the 2026 Summer Institute; improving accessibility to our marquee event. This year, in addition to sustaining access to Reacting membership and events, we are funding classroom sets of Reacting Gamebooks for instructors who need them to run games from our published catalog. Whenever you make a donation this month of giving, you will be asked to choose your pairing, picking one of these three initiatives. For every donation during Month of Giving, Reacting will set aside $25 to fund your chosen cause for 2027. Workshops
We are excited to feature a selection of Microgames and Short Games during our 2026 Month of Giving. This November, be transported to locations ranging from the villas of Republican Rome, to the streets of Victorian London, to the halls of the Nebraska statehouse – or better yet, all three! We will also be raffling off donor rewards at each of the workshops, so you have a chance to walk away with much more than just a great experience.
November 7th, 2pm-4pm EST Citizens debate the nature and value of representation, partisanship, and checks and balances in American democracy and Nebraska's state government. Does the United States really want to maintain the direct input of citizens in the democracy? |
November 14th & 15th, 2pm-4pm EST You and your fellow committee members are the ones capable of saving London from the scourge of cholera. Are diseases caused by harmful miasmas or by microscopic organisms? |
November 22nd, 2pm-4pm EST Relive the historical moment that inspired "No Taxation Without Representation." If women cannot vote or serve in public office, why should they have the responsibilities of citizenship but not the rights? |
Happy Hours
Happy Hours are back! We will be kicking off and ending our Month of Giving with opportunities to hob nob, vent, or brainstorm with fellow Reactors. Stay tuned for more details!
